Our Families # 1 Priority Is Your Families Comfort and Satisfaction n System Maintenance Our Advanced Air and Heat Tune Up is
a professional cleaning, adjustment and safety check we perform on all
types of air With summer just around the corner, it’s not too early to get your home in order to battle the summer heat ahead! Air conditioners are a great luxury, but with the hot Florida sunshine, sometimes it is all they can do to keep up with our cooling demands. We would like to share some helpful energy saving tips that could help prevent unnecessary energy loss and a dent in your pocket book. We most importantly recommend that you choose to install an air conditioning system that is most efficient for the size of your home. An undersized unit will often run constantly as it is never able to completely cool the home. For example, you couldn’t expect a canoe to keep up with a jet boat. Remember to check the air filter for cleanliness on a monthly basis; we have found a good way to remember this is to check the filter when your power bill arrives each month. A dirty clogged filter can lead to unnecessary service calls and will cause your air conditioning unit to work much harder, therefore pulling more electric that may cause an increase on your power bill. Inspect all window and door seals to ensure that there are no gaps that would allow air to escape from your home. Keeping your windows covered during the day with some type of shutters, blinds or curtains will aid in blocking out hot sun rays which can heat your home significantly. (Tip: Closing blinds angled upward will keep light out more effectively.) Perform an inspection of your outdoor unit to ensure that it is clear of any weeds, brush, or sand debris, as these things interfere with the function of the a/c system. Your clothes drier vent can cause problems also if the exhaust exit is right next to the outdoor unit; the dust gets circulated onto the a/c condenser and can damage the coil. Cooling and heating systems require
routine maintenance to maximize performance, maintain efficiency and to
insure safety. Take the example of automobiles. Cars made
in the 60’s were relatively easy to work on, and didn’t take a lot of
complex tools The same thing has happened to heating and
air conditioning systems. The government has mandated that they be more
efficient
