Having trouble with your Air Conditioning system?
Here are a few simple "Do It Yourself " solutions to try before calling one of our Service Technicians.
This could possibly save you time and money.
1. Make sure your thermostat is set to the "Cool" position or "Heat as you choose".
2. Check your main electrical panel to make sure that the air conditioning circuit breakers have not been tripped.
*If your breaker has been tripped, flip the breaker all the way off then flip it back on. There may be a 10-15 minute delay before the unit will start up.3. Check the "disconnect switch" located next to your outdoor unit, make sure it is on.
4. Look at your Air Filter and make sure it is clean. A dirty filter can cause your A/C unit's coils to freeze up.
*If this happens, turn your thermostat from the "Cool" position into the "Off" position and the "Fan" into the "On" position. Let the unit run for a few hours to allow the unit to defrost. The air filter should be cleaned or replaced before turning the A/C unit back on.5. Make sure your "Air Return" grill(s) are not blocked, to allow proper air flow into the system.
